Here is one of Lesley Sophia's sweaters of contemporary
design. It's known to us as 'The Grumpy Cat' sweater and belongs to Lesley's
husband, John. This sweater is knitted from a variety of yarns, all of which
are natural colours.
The grey yarn (background, sleeves and 'whites' of the eyes) is spun from
Gotland (a Danish breed of sheep).
The light brown (cat's body) is Manx Loghtan (sheep) both of these
yarns are very soft.
The mid-brown (cat's stripes) is Shetland (sheep).
The dark brown (nose and rest of the eyes) is Hebridean (sheep).
